UPCOMING POST 76 MEETING DATES:
NO VETERAN ALONE:
Nearly every Thursday morning, members of your Post 76, The Nevada Patriot Guard, Women Veterans of Nevada, and the Vietnam Veterans of America, as well as other Veteran organizations, pay tribute to Veterans who have no family members to accompany them on the journey to their final resting place. Come and join us, if you have an American flag, bring it. If you want to sit in the audience during the services and honor our brothers and sisters in arms, that is just as appropriate. We routinely leave the Summerlin area around 7 AM from 1960 Faywood St. Las Vegas NV 89134. For information, contact Commander Joel Forman at [email protected] or check our web page calendar each Wednesday.

Subject Line: Important Announcement for Legion Members- LegionCare [Posted 3/1/2012]
Dear Legion Members,
Your Department of The American Legion is excited to announce LegionCare; the newly enhanced Accidental Death benefit created exclusively for Legion Members. LegionCare is now available at absolutely NO-Cost to you.
LegionCare provides you with:
· $5,000 in Accidental Death Coverage for covered accidents that occur if you are traveling on official Legion business.
· $1,000 for all other covered accidents.
· 24/7 protection that covers Legionnaires at home, at work and while they are traveling away from home available for all Legion Members in your Department.
We enhanced this benefit in 2014 from up to $1,500 in protection to up to $5,000 in protection because our program is dedicated to providing each and every Legion Member with quality benefits.
IMPORTANT: You must activate your $5,000 in protection in order to be covered. An activation postcard will be provided to you in your Membership Renewal kit. You may also activate their coverage by going online to http://www.thelit.com/. Once you have activated this coverage, it will be in force through August 31,2016!
Our goal is to ensure that every Legionnaire in your Department activates this protection. Please be sure to mention this important benefit to your fellow Legionnaires the next time you are at your local Post.
*For purposes of the Legionnaire Insurance Trust, a member of The American Legion, with current year?s dues paid, could be eligible for the $5,000.00 Accidental Death benefit if he/ she is traveling to, attending or returning from an official function at which the Legionnaire represents his/ her Post, District, Department, or National Organization in an official capacity.
